Linda Fulcher

Linda Carol (Bankhead) Fulcher, 70, died Aug. 23, 2022, in Hamilton.

Visitation was set for Aug 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Riley Funeral Home with services Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. Burial was to follow in Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby.

Linda was born Feb. 24, 1952, in San Antonio to parents Otis and Blanche Bankhead.

She grew up in Gatesville and moved to Hamilton after her marriage to Jerry Fulcher where she lived for 52 years. They had three children, Monty Fulcher, Tawnya Romo and Robert Fulcher.

Linda was well known as the face of Storms, where she began working in 1972. She loved her community and all the people in it. She enjoyed hearing about everyone’s families and telling anyone who would listen all about hers.

Linda loved being a mother, and even more so a grandmother. She was a hard worker, stubborn to the core and would do anything for her children. Her children describe her as the best mother anyone could ask for. Linda gave everyone everything she could, even if it was a smile, she never expected or wanted anything in return. She was selfless and loving all her days. She truly was a treasure to all who knew her. We can rest assured that we will be greeted in Heaven by her sweet smile and embrace.

Linda is preceded in death by parents Otis Bankhead and Blanche (Headrick) Bankhead; siblings Kitty Magee, Margaret Compton, Bobby Jean Tagg, William Bankhead, Larry Bankhead and Gary Bankhead.

Survivors include husband Jerry Fulcher of Hamilton; children Monty Fulcher of Hamilton, Tawnya and husband Oscar Romo of Lampasas and Robert and wife Heather Fulcher of Marble Falls; grandchildren Chariti Fulcher of Brownwood, Landon and Alanis Fulcher of Hamilton, Ronnie, Rachel, Reese and Rayley Romo of Lampasas and Jaxon Fulcher of Marble Falls; greatgrandchildren Allyster Laube of Brownwood and another on the way from granddaughter Rachel; siblings June Garner, Donna Ballard, Jerry Bankhead, Maybell Toten, Kenneth Bankhead, Ann Honea, Barbara Salazar and Joyce Beadle; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Donations can be sent to an account set up at Extraco bank and flowers Riley Funeral Home. The family thanks everyone for the kind words and support through this time of grief.
