Karl Boatwright

Karl Gene Boatwright, 66, passed away Nov. 12, 2021, in Temple with his family by his side.

Graveside services were in Cottage Hill Cemetery Nov. 16.

Karl was born Dec. 17, 1954, in Hico to Troy and Lena Boatwright. He graduated from McGregor High School in 1973 and Tarleton State University in 1978.

Karl married Stacy (Lee) Boatwright Oct. 28, 1978, in Hamilton. Karl and Stacy had three children Jeremy, Clayton and Melissa. They resided in Hamilton County for many years.

Karl retired from Coca-Cola in 2015. He also worked for 16 years at Hercules in McGregor. He made many fond memories and lifelong friends at these companies.

Karl enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He liked to play golf at Perry Country Club and go on hunting trips. He loved most to be at The Place with family.

Karl was preceded in death by his father Troy, mother Lena, brother Kenneth and two baby brothers.

He is survived by his wife Stacy; his three children, Jeremy and Bren Boatwright, Clayton Boatwright and Melissa and Joseph Schraeder; and he was Grandhaw to, Baily, Lanie, Bethany, Morgan, Logan, Levan and Mia. He also is survived by siblings Jim and Peggy Boatwright and Patti and Randy Dyer; and numerous nieces and nephews for whom he had great love.
