Henry Rogers, 80, of Goldthwaite passed away at his home on Oct. 4, 2021.

Henry was born on Dec. 16, 1940, in Mertzon to Edward and Eunice (Henderson) Rogers.

He was one of 12 kids. Henry served honorably in the Army from 1957-60 and reenlisted from 1963-66.

On Aug. 5, 1967, he married Bernadene Sohm at Pottsville Lutheran Church in Pottsville.

Henry was a truck driver most of his life. He loved fishing and going to stock shows but most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

He is a member of the Center City Baptist Church in Center City.

Henry is preceded in death by two of his daughters Thelia Rogers and Diana Sanders-Hosler, his parents Edward and Eunice Rogers, three brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bernadene Rogers, son, Mark Rogers and wife Diana of Little-River Academy, daughter, Cissy Couch of Star, son, Michael Rogers of Hewitt, daughter, Stephanie Sanders and husband Keith of Star, daughter, Melissia Head and husband Robert of Caradan, son-in-law, Justin Hosler of Gatesville; grandkids, Stephen Gallo, Daniel Gallo, Kimberly Couch, Cody Couch, Joshua Williamson, Jenna Alkumeidy, Rebecca Rogers, Whitney Klamm, Victoria Lofland, Kaci Sanders, Shelby Thomison, Travis Sanders, Justiana Hosler, Lilly Head and Breta Head.

He is also survived by two sisters, Lois Covey of Breckenridge and Forest Jo Lester of Woodson.

He is also survived by 22 great-grandkids and one great-great-grandkid along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include: Cody Couch, Stephen Gallo, Daniel Gallo, Phillip Klamm, Charlie Thomison, Roy Seider, Jason Seider, and Tracy Couch. Honorary pallbearer is Travis Sanders.

Funeral services were held Oct. 10 at the Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton. Interment followed at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Pottsville.
