George Elgin Krupala

George Elgin Krupala, 93, of Hamilton, passed away January 18, 2022. He was born April 10, 1928 in Schulenburg, Texas to Ed and Angelina Krupala.

George grew up and attended grade school at St. John Catholic Church in the St. John community and graduated from high school in 1946 at Schulenburg, Texas. He then volunteered for the army and served in the Korean War. In 1952 he received a BS degree in Agriculture from Texas A&M University in College Station.

He married Rose Lillian Kveton on June 5, 1954 in Lubbock, and has one child, Mary Krupala Hodge. They moved to Hamilton in 1964 where he worked for the Farmers Home Administration until retiring in 1985.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Isabella, and brother Eustace Krupala. George is survived by his wife of 67 years, one daughter, Mary and husband Jon Hodge, four grandchildren, Joshua Hodge and wife Alejantra, Kimberly Hodge, Cynthia and husband Brent Fivecoat, and Michael Hodge, and three great grandchildren.

A private service will be held. Memorials can be made to your favorite charity.
