Eva May Brown, 91, of Lampasas died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Services were held Friday, Nov. 23, at Sneed Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of George Moore and Florence (Birger) Moore.

She lived in Massachusetts until about age 15, then moved with her sister to California.

While in the San Diego area, she met Harold M. Brown. They were married Aug. 24, 1951, in Yuma, Arizona.

The family lived in the Waco area for several years and then moved to Evant in 1969. She was the secretary for Harold Brown and Sons Inc. for many years, all while raising four boys. Eva loved to read and travel. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Lampasas. She was also a member of the Red-Hatters and enjoyed line dancing. She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s school and sports activities.

She was preceded in death by husband Harold Brown April 1, 1996; sister Eunice Leukhart; and brother Frederick Moore.

Survivors include her four sons, Rex and Kathy Brown of Lampasas, Terry and Frances Brown of Temple, Joe and Sharlyn Brown of Lampasas and Danny and Laurie Brown of Waco; grandchildren Katrina Kothmann and husband Rex, Kara Brown, William Brown and wife Brandee, Wesley Brown and wife Carina, Taryn Johnson and husband Garret, Hadley Brown, Travis Brown, Monica Brown and David Shea; and great-grandchildren, Kandice Morua, Kamryn Kothmann, Ross Kothmann, Katelyn Kothmann, Noah Brown, Sophia Brown and Easton Johnson.

Memorials may be made to any Alzheimer’s research group.
