Bobbie Streater Parks passed away July 2, 2022.

Services were July 5 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel, and burial was in Fairy Cemetery.

Bobbie was born May 12, 1932, in Hamilton to Robert and Nettie Streater. She attended Fairy High School and graduated in the top 10 of her class. She married her high school sweetheart, Bernard Weldon Parks, on Feb. 24, 1951, at Agee Baptist Church. Together they were blessed with a daughter, Becky.

Bobbie was a competitive barrel racer and always had a love for animals. That love was on display in her favorite job as a vet tech. In her spare time, she was a frequenter of garage sales, avid card and board game player and Dallas Maverick fanatic, but her greatest love was her grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce and Brielle, and her great-grandsons, Ellison and Ethan. She played an active role in the lives of her family and her friends.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nettie Streater; husband of 52 years Bernard Weldon Parks; sister Dorothy Kavanaugh; and nephew Stephen Kavanaugh.

Survivors include her daughter Becky Bobo and husband Benny of Woodway; grandchildren Brandon Bobo and wife Allison of Lorena, Bryce Bobo and wife Elena of Lake Jackson and Brielle Bobo and boyfriend Esteban Garcia of College Station; great-grandchildren Ellison and Ethan of Lorena; brother James Streater of Canyon Lake; nieces Michelle Moravec, Teresa Kiel and Elaine Kavanaugh-Jones; and nephews Dickie Turner, Bobby Turner and James L. Streater.

Pallbearers were Jody Bobo, Brandon Bobo, Bryce Bobo, Esteban Garcia, Ronny Barnett and Willie Moravec.

Honorary pallbearers were Dickie Turner, Bobby Turner, James L. Streater, Ken Kiel and Pastor Robert Nelson of River City Church.
