Bernadene Lily (Sohm) Rogers, 74, passed away Feb. 11, 2022, at home in Hamilton with family by her side.

Visitation was set for Wednesday, Feb. 16, 5 to 8 p.m. at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at RFH with interment to follow in the Pottsville Lutheran Cemetery.

Bernadene was born June 3, 1947, in Hamilton to Bernard Sohm and Lily Lorene (Sommerfield) Sohm. She was the oldest of the three kids.

Bernadene was baptized April 9, 1950, and was confirmed Aug. 25, 1963, by Pastor Anderson at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Pottsville. On Aug. 5, 1967, she married Henry Rogers at Pottsville Lutheran Church.

Bernadene was a Medication Aide for most of her life, working at several different nursing homes. She was also a housewife taking care of six children. During her spare time, she loved going to stock shows, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Henry Rogers; two daughters, Thelia Rogers and Diana Sanders-Hosler; her parents; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Bernadene is survived by sons Mark Rogers and wife Diana of Little-River Academy and Michael Rogers of Hewitt,; daughters Cissy Couch and Stephanie Sanders and husband Keith, all of Star, and Melissia Head and husband Robert of Caradan; son-in-law Justin Hosler of Gatesville; grandkids Stephen Gallo, Daniel Gallo, Tarren Smith, Reagan Couch, Kimberly Couch, Cody Couch, Joshua Williamson, Jenna Alkumeidy, Rebecca Rogers, Whitney Klamm, Victoria Lofland, Kaci Sanders, Shelby Thomison, Travis Sanders, Justiana Hosler, Lilly Head and Breta Head; 30 great-grandkids; one great-great-grandkid; numerous nieces and nephews; a sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Martin (Buby) Seider of Gustine; brother and sister-in-law Butch and Doris Sohm of Hamilton; and two sisters-in-law Lois Covey of Breckenridge and Forest Jo Lester of Woodson.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Thompson, Stephen Gallo, Daniel Gallo, Roy Seider, Jason Seider, Phillip Klamm, Tracy Couch, Cody Couch, Travis Sanders and Trey Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Travis Sanders, Cody Couch, Stephen Gallo and Daniel Gallo.
