In a long letter dated Mar. 4, 1981, Paul “Bear” Bryant, former head football coach at Texas A&M, apologized to Kenneth Hall for squandering his gridiron gift in the 1950s.

If numbers mean anything, Charles Kenneth Hall was the greatest high school running back of all-time. “The Sugar Land Express” set a national career rushing record of 11,232 yards in four seasons in 12 games a year.
